How to Identify a Bed Bug Bite

Do you have bites that you think could have been caused by bed bugs?  Below we describe what the bites look like, and some of the characteristics of Brooklyn bed bug bites.  Bed bug bites are not characterized by any distinguishing look in its swelling.

Those with bed bug bites have a broad range of reactions, from severe swelling on some, to no signs of being bitten on others that is why we avoiding diagnosing a bed bug problem based on bites that exist. One telltale sign of bed bug bites is the bug tends to bite in multiples so in some bed bug bite cases you will see the bite marks in a row going down an arm.

How do Bed Bugs Bite?

Bed bugs bite by first injecting a secretion that numbs the area before it feeds. Bed bugs tend to proximate themselves along vein lines but have been known to feed elsewhere on the body for a blood supply.  They will usually come out at night to feed, and go back into hiding before you wake up in the morning.
